big bro

Sam is so sweet to his little sister. He always asks to hold her these days, and finally i got a couple pictures of it!! :) he is so so sweet with her. just holding her and sitting smuggly like, "yep, look at me, i'm the BIG brother, watching out for my sister, protecting her... yep, i may not be able to WALK by myself, but i'm such a BIG boy!! " ahaha.





Poor Julia got sick on friday and so... we had to cancel our superawesome plans and have a quiet family night. which was also super awesome. we made homemade pizza, watched a familiy movie, and handed out candy during it. :) Then Dave took the kids around the block, to Aunti K's house and some of our neighborly neighbors to fetch a wee bit of candy for the kidlets. I like having the chance to talk a bit more to our neighbors, too bad that it takes a night like Halloween to actually SEE some of our neighbors!! hahaha.( i suppose that is incentive for me to make more effort in regards to the neighborlies....)

anyway, they had a blast and some of the neighbors emptied their candy bowls into the kids' bag... ha! Sam was completely silly and goofy on his sugar 'high', it was pretty cute... his eyes looked twice as michievious as usual ! and he was acting twice as cute. Julia was responisble and mature and made certain that neither she nor sam ate too much candy. (especially since she was not completely better yet) She made the observation that if Sam just had a glass of water then perhaps he wouldn't keep asking for sugary things. ha!!! she is so intensly practical, my kind of girl. :)

as i write my kids are huddled around me, sam is constantly kissing mercy on the lips hahaha and Julia is attempting to give her favorite sister some love as well!!!

aaaaaarg so cute!!!

time to go learn some verses on Lying and Speaking the Truth. seems to be our lesson for today.... hope it goes well... and that some little 4 year olds' ears are listening!!!!
