Awwwww! It is so great to see the pride Julia has in her family. That is a good thing!
Samuel is looking more and more alert and bright eyed with every photo. So, I think he looks like a pretty neutral baby from the photos so far, as in, a boy or a girl. yet i think he has a twinge of boy. But, photos don't always show true colors... anyway, I wonder what conclusion i would come to if he was handed to me in a white diaper with no word as to his sex. I always wanted to try that experiment (the baby X experiment) and see what language people would start to use because of prescribed gender roles. "What a strong little guy.. aren't you so handsome.' vs 'What a pretty little girl, look at your delicate this and that.."
Anyway... he is such a beautiful little person who looks so cuddly and content! A naus!
I always thought Corrina looked like a boy... so did lots of people in the shopping malls.

Sue, I hope when the sun starts shining again you will be feeling well and be able to go for some walks and plant some flowers and such! Take care and as awalys, happy resting!

Samuel sure is growing! I am so happy to see him grow so fast. nanny loves to see the pictures of him. She is also impressed with how much of a princess Jules is.

Keep out the great work guys! The sun will be out soon, and the walks can begin again.

snowing and blowing? oh my. what happened to spring?
ohhhh, the little darlings, they are absolutely scrumptious, cute as cute as cute can be, I could just eat them up. I agree with Janie, Sam does have a boyish look about him, rightly so, and I can definitely see the similarity between him and Julia too in these pics. He'll likely be a big strapping boy and be able to hold him own while playing with mine! haha. Can you imagine the ruckus that lies ahead of us? Please give them hugs in lieu of me! And kisses to!

hahaha. thanks Krista! :)

janie-yes, julia has great pride in our family, very cute to see. Samuel looks a lot like newborn-julia, but he ha very big hands (they don't fit well through sleeper sleeve openings!!) so he definately has some "dutch-opa-farming-hands"...which, if you have a farming opa, you will know are large and wide! hahaha. but his fingers are long and not too wide for learning piano. :)

personally, i think that the most that gender effects my perspective of Samuel is my diaper changing habits and his name. honestly, i don't think of it much. i don't parent him differently ( as in making him be 'tough' because he is a boy, etc) to my knowledge. Like you said, he is a naus, and we have the same expectations for all of our children - although the way they are carried out will differ sometimes according to personality and the state of their heart.

i am still examining his personality, i just keep forgetting to blog about it. :) haha, maybe i'll just talk to you on the phone one day about our observations...after school is done for you that is!! :) when you have time again! :)

Robyn - glad you could go traveling. keep us posted on how you all are.

Sis- i wish you were closer to me so we could experience the "ruckus" more often!! it would be grand!

-love to all. from su
