Susan... was there a package awaiting you at your new house? You have a mailbox there right? We sent you a treat in the mail, which should be there, and i hope it is!

I have had so much fun tonight on the internet checking out some great websites: http://www.mamaroobabysling.com/index.html

and

www.coastalsling.com

Baby carrying, sign language, diaper free babies... etc.. really neat stuff! I think you would like. Did you carry Julia in a sling, pouch or carrier? We are obsessed with carrying and hope to do alot of it! I found sewing patterns and am hoping to get my friend to make one, and eventually i will take time and learn what to do too!
So take it easy as you settle into your new Home! Wow, what fun you have ahead of you... you can putter around and decorate... make a special room for Julia, and for Dave and yourself! Curtains, quilts, antique furniture... so much fun! I am really nesting these days. There are so many life things i want to learn still, and now i have at least a year to raise a little someone and learn a few new things about life skills!
Well, i am going to post a recipe on my blog now.

Still trying to "get" the baby to come out.. we have done EVERYTHING we can think of except caster oil.. ewwwewwwewww! But still no baby.. pray for us :( I want my baby really badly... Oh, and thanks for the phone calls, we will call you sometime soon i hope!

Love Janie

Hi Su and Dave!! Sounds like fun working in the new house, yeah, MAKING a new house. How exciting for you guys to get to create your new living spaces!!! We are sooooooooo excited for you! Give big hugs to everyone for us please, we miss you so! Lesina is wishing for a little playmate named Julia! She said her name for the first time today!!! Yay!

Janie, I had to reply to your comment as I was in the same situation several weeks ago!
It is so tortuous (sp?) to wait!
When I was 11 days overdue, my midwives finally suggested a lovely natural remedy, that includes the infamous castor oil! I drank a dose and a half on Sunday afternoon and went into labor first thing Monday morning! I still don't actually know if it worked, as the "system-cleaning" side effects didn't hit until 5 days later, but I would venture to guess that it did. Heehee. So if you decide to consider that disgusting stuff, my midwives informed me that if taken with protein, it really slows down the "attack" on the system. The recipe they had had the oil mixed with orange juice, water, peanut butter and a few drops of something called lemon verbena. I'm going to try to look for the recipe measures today if you're interested. Or your baby may just choose to come at the right time, which is what most babies (unlike my stubborn 11 pounder!) do!
We wish you all the best, having a new baby is such a wonderful time and we wish you tons of joy and blessings!

Someone told me to eat peanuts and the baby would just slide out. I was over due with every baby, 2-3 weeks. Didn't work for me, but I thought it would make for great conversation.

It looks like Dave is a jack of all trades. (with a little help from friends) We wish we were closer to lend a hand. Enjoy the challenge.
