Still

well, nothing has changed much since yesterday. Julia still refuses to stand on her right leg. poor girl. So today was spent sitting in laps, on rugs, on blankets, in wagons, and such. The transition from one place to another seems to be troublesome to her.....although her crying decreased as the day went on.

precious child. when she woke this morning, the first thing she said to me after i went in to pick her up was, "God helped my leg to feel better" . Dave calls her our little theologian. haha. Last night, as i laid her in bed i told her, "if you wake and your leg hurts, ask Jesus to help you". I guess it stuck. God really does reveal Himself to little ones, more than we take into consideration i believe. Since nothing really happened today, here are some pics of the last week or so. Above is the harbor. i went walking a few nights back with a good dear sister, and i was picture happy (experimenting with night scene and landscape options).
the BEAUTIFUL hand sized tulip Julia picked. :)
teaching Julia to slurp jell-o off the table. this is more important to normal child development than you may think..... it is very difficult, and takes a lot of concentration....ha. :)
This is usually how i find Julia after nap. If she wakes before 5 pm she will quietly get her "treasure box" (i had NO idea that she would love the idea of a special box this much! ) and take everything out and show teddy. There is a necklace from Emily's bday party, a puzzle letter from Nana and Grandpa, some pictures of Mommy and Daddy, a picture of spring croucouses, some pez containers (no candy), and paper flowers that we made together.

well....enjoy your day. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING, i truly hope this isn't going to be a long healing process, or that any permenent damage will occur....ligiments, etc....i don't THINK it is bad, but i don't have a clue really.

Did they take an x-ray? If she can't put weight on her leg, I would go back. If it's not a fracture, what about her knee? Her ankle? Her hip? Her toe? Does she say what part hurts? I would go back for a second opinion. Don't mean to be a know it all or anything...but I have been known to feel terrible for not taking my kids seriously when they had broken something. I still feel awful about it. Hope it's just sore and nothing more.

yeah, the x-ray showed no bone damage, and the doc. said it happens a lot with wee ones that instinctively they don't put weight on it when it hurts. because there are no marks or bruises, i was thinking the muscle may be bruised or pulled ,causing pain when her leg is moved.
he told me to come back if she wasn't standing on it in 48 hours.

she has done a bit better today, but still no walkie. :(

THanks for the tip Dr.Anti

Julia, we are praying for your recovery. You keep praying also, Jesus will help, and be with you..

Sue, the treasure box is a great idea. I never thought of something like that before. Glad she will still have her quiet time for you.

That's good. So you just wait it out then. Poor little one. Give her a kiss.

I read dave today's report on Julia and he said "awwww, poor little girl" in an adorably sensitive, soft voice. He has a knack for feeling pain, and i think he feels hers. He is really into pirate things right now (some new pirate game with little boats) and he was very thrilled to hear that Julia has a treasure box. Love and prayers.
