picture story:

family date to a special park
cute little dutchy
i can FINALLY REACH... and swing... and hang!
we had a rainy cold rainy cold day at the market. to end our market days.
i was considerate: i took a picture of a lovely Amish Horse, and did not bother the Amish vendors ....as the tourists so often do, who can blame them really? they are so darn sweet, picture perfect looking! i just LOVE seeing their carts and horses strolling out of the market place, beside all the nasty big trucks and vans (we being one of them) that are noisey, crass, and polluting. it is a refreshing sight to see gentle, quiet strength of a horse. ANyway. enough ramble.

loves. enjoy the autumnish weather coming our way........i'm off to my cup o' chocolate rooiboss tea.
mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It's the end of an era - the Naus Kettlecorn dynasty is history. And on such a soggy note. Here we're basking in 30C weather still - unusually hot. We ended up at Crescent Beach yet again this evening after babysitting for S and N as they attended a wedding at Minter Gardens today. Enjoy your freer Saturdays from now on!

Yes, that definitely looks like an Amish horse. I can tell. It looks quite peaceful and unstained by the worldly horse culture.

Are you sad to leave your corn business? I bought kettle corn peanuts today. In a can. Ever heard of that?

hahahaha. thanks anti for the amish humor. teehee. i know that not everything that appears peaceful and unstanined is such. i have learned that romanticizing cultures and era's usually ends up in a realistic person telling me what it was REALLY like, and that is usually far from what i dreamed.

anyway: end of kettle corn? no not at all! a lovely family purchaced our business and will continue to make it as long as crowds continue to flock to it. go enjoy k.c. at st. j!

k.c. peanuts?????? never heard of them, must be similar to beer nuts???

daddio, i can't believe you have 30 degree weather!!!!! wow. it is fallish here!
loves.

we heard that there was alot of rain, and even a hurricane storm came through. Hope you still have a roof!
I was thinking along the same lines as you aunti was: horse poo everywhere, how nice! But at least it acts as a fertalizer and not a destroyer of environments.
I am paper maching for church children' program. Pinata's for sunday school! I am also watching corner gas. ha ha ha, love that show. It makes me want to move to a small town and get to know everyone.
So, is there anyway a person can make 'kettle' corn at home.
We have had cooler weather here too, but not as rainy. Canada is backwards i guess, because abby was not that hot when we were teens!

Hope you get a sunny day this week!
Janie
