more snapshots of our Christmas Cheer!

The Design Team at work.
Queen Julia of the Ball
I HAVE A RED NOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSEEEEEE!

haha. We had such a lovely time putting decorations on the familiy tree. Julia was queen of ball-hanging, carefully placing each shiny new globe on a branch. She successfully decorated the tree from her height down.

Dave and i (flashback...) put the tree up while Julia slept saturday night, and the look on her face in the morning was priceless. She pasued, clasped her hands, leaned forward to look closer with mouth wide open in wonder, and declared, " we have a Christmas tree! " Then she felt it, smelled it, and gentlely patted it's prickly needles.

very cute. well worth the trouble....which really was no trouble...i highly recommend getting a tree bound before bringing it home. This allowed us to stablize the tree and do all the painful pushing and shoving to ensure it was straight and not going to fall over--without WITHOUT the branches all in the way. fabulous. then you cut the twine and voila! your tree unfolds in all it's natural splendor! haha.

Now i am off to read about the Age of Progress in Church history.

enjoy your lovely day folks.

How cute your little Jules is (0:
Your tree is beautiful, and I'm sure very lovely in all of its decorations. You haven't seen any Japanese purses lying around have you? Good. Me neither.
I'm still contemplating (in a good way) putting our tree outside in the front yard. Hmmmmm. Hope you're having a lovely lovely day!!!!!

Does Julia remember christmas from last year? Having children makes celebrating christmas so much more deep and magical. I like rediscovering the important, longlasting concerns of Christmas with Corrina around, even though she isn't really into it. Well, she certainly is into little christmas balls, at least into putting them into her mouth!
Can't wait to see the completed pictures of your tree! We won't have a real tree (fine with me), but our friends will. They will drag it up 2 very steep flights of steps to the fourth floor of the house they share. I think i want to be there to see that done. Hope they have it bound!
