days 5-7

On Baby's day 5 we all packed up and went out to a beautiful lakeside conservation area for K and M's wedding rehearsal. It was a wee bit cold, so we unpacked all of our winter gear. :)

Unfortunately this is the ONLY picture i took all weekend at the wedding festivities!! but i have a good excuse, um... like maybe the fact that i had a 6 days old baby and two other kids to keep track of, and organize life for, and i was trying to do a wee bit as a bridesmaid as well. i didn't get too do much as a bridesmaid, sadly, i wish i could have been more helpful. but seasons in life are all different, and this one just means i need to pay attention to my baby and make sure i don't over stress myself too much (for the health and happiness of my family!! haha)

it was a beautiful day for K and M's wedding. everything ran smoothly and perfectly: just as we all knew it would. K is SUPER organized. And super unique. And super awesome. hahaha. so it was a beautiful amazing gorgeous day.

but sadly, i have no pictures!!
Opa with Mercy.
Mercy in Oma's bassinet. Just like all the other babies, Mercy gets to sleep in this special family bassinet. Oma traveled in a boat from the Netherlands in this basket at 4 months old!!!
Julia's awesome gift from K and M for being their flower girl!!! (it came with a fairy crown and wand as well!!! she LOVES it, who wouldn't???
This is our recovery day: sunday. post-wedding-relief-day. whew. up at 8:30-9. Breakfast at 10. that's not so bad eh? whew. piling in the extra strength Tylenol. and enjoying my awesomely sweet and lovely family. man. they are so great.
This week will be for rest and recovery: i can't wait to visit the chiropractor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yippeee for benefits!! Praise the Lord!

(Above: is the nose-beeping picture. it isn't that someone just farted. really. hahaha. they were just grabbing noses and beeping, so i captured it.)

Yay - I'm so glad to hear that the wedding day went well! You must be completely exhausted - so you better really take the next week to rest :) Wish we got to see Mercy in person, but I suppose we'll be snuggling our own little one in a week or so! Miss you all!!

Hahahaha! Before I saw your caption, I thought it must be a "the baby has a poopy diaper" picture!
I love the way you capture the essence of your family. :)
